The Jamestown Philomenian Library is always grateful for support, whether it comes in the form of a financial donation, donation of materials, or donation of time as a volunteer. Thank you for your interest in supporting your Library!
There are many ways you can help support the operations of the Jamestown Philomenian Library.
- In Memoriam – We gratefully accept donations made in memory of a loved one. Please send a check made out to the Jamestown Philomenian Library to 26 North Road, Jamestown, RI 02835, along with a note indicating the name of the person being honored. You will receive an acknowledgment of your donation by mail.
- In Honor Of – We gratefully accept donations made in honor of someone, whether for a birthday, retirement, or other occasion. Please send a check made out to the Jamestown Philomenian Library to 26 North Road, Jamestown, RI 02835, along with a note indicating the name of the person being honored. You will receive an acknowledgment of your donation by mail.
- Book Donations – Books must be clean and mold-free. All book donations should be placed in the blue donation bin located in the parking lot next to the library dumpster. The library cannot accept encyclopedias, magazines, DVDs, VHS tapes, or audio cassettes in the bin. All media donations (DVDs, Blu-rays, audiobooks, and CDs) should be brought inside the library for staff review.

Join the Friends
The Friends is an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to which donations and matching gifts are tax-exempt. You may become an annual member of the Friends and help support current and future programs in one of two ways:
By completing an annual membership online. You can sign up online for a membership and make one time or recurring donations to the Friends using the form on this page.
By submitting a completed annual membership form with check. Our membership form may be delivered by hand to the library's circulation desk, or via mail to: Friends of the Jamestown Library, 26 North Road, Jamestown, RI 02835.
Annual Book Sales
The Friends of the JPL host two annual book sales, one in the summer and one around the holidays. There is a small. year-round book sale located in the hallway toward the Meeting Hall.
