Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention is the flagship suicide prevention education program by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention that covers the scope of this leading cause of death, what the research has found to be the warning signs and risk factors of suicide, and the strategies that prevent it.

The Jamestown Tick Task Force is pleased to present Dr. Thomas Mather, nationally known tick expert and authority on Lyme Disease. Dr. Mather is a professor of Public Health Entomology at the University of Rhode Island and the Director of the Tick Encounter Resource Center. He will discuss the spread of ticks in Rhode Island and the threat of the tick-borne disease in Jamestown.
The RI Blood Center wants to hold a special event to thank and recognize several individuals in the community who have helped so many through their generous blood donations over many years. We also want to pay tribute, posthumously, to Jim McLoughlin, a long-time supporter and donor to the RI Blood Center.
