Toastmaster Area 71 and Area 72 Spring Speech Contest
Toastmasters International District 31, Division G, Areas 71 & 72 International Speech and Table Topics Speech Contest.
This is an Area level speech contest.
Winning Contestants from Individual Club level Contests within their respective Area will compete to determine
the winner who will then advance to the Division G Speech Contest.

EPELOA Annual Meeting - Coyote Presentation
At 7 PM the EPELOA will hold its annual business meeting. This will be followed at 8 PM by a presentation about coyotes in Jamestown by Dr. Numi Mitchel of the Narragansett Bay Coyote Study. The meeting will be open to the public. Since 2004 The Narragansett Bay Coyote Study has been developing science-based coexistence and management strategies for coyotes.
Evolution of the Urban Forest
Evolution of the Urban Forest - led by Chris Fletcher, a managing arborist for Bartlett Tree Services. He also is a caretaker of Juniper Hill Cemetery, one of three landmark graveyards in Rhode Island. Fletcher will discuss the history and importance of forestation to the environment.
Soccer Referee Training - Grade 8
This is to provide local referees with an opportunity to be taught the new rules of the game.
Also to engage new referees in discussion regarding video clips on how to make the correct decisions in a match.
We will also be providing local referees updated information on referee abuse and what to do if in that situation.

Toastmasters District 31 Division G - Area 71 and 72 Fall Speech Contest
Open to the Public
Local Toastmaster Club Winners compete in Humorous Speech and Evaluation Speech Contests at Area level.
Winning Area contestants move up to Division G contests, winner of Division G moves up to District Speech
Contest at District 31 Conference in November.
4-6 contestants compete from each Area in the two speech contests.
Refreshments, sweets, coffee, juice, water will be provided.
Sea C Sisters monthly meeting
The Sea C Sisters of Jamestown is a support group for women experiencing, or who have experienced, cancer diagnosis and treatment. We would like to hold our first meeting of the fall at the library in order to see a film highly recommended by Women and Infants Hospital staff called "Embrace." This will require streaming the film onto a screen from the library.
