There is a leprechaun on the loose at the Clubhouse Library, and we need your help catching him! Everyone knows Leprechauns are clever, tricky creatures. For the best chance at catching this one, we are asking families to create their most creative, most ingenious, leprechaun trap yet!
Kits will be available for pickup on Wednesday, March 1, from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
A few things to know:
- The kit includes recycled household supplies like paper towel tubes and small cardboard boxes. Also, it includes sparkly and colorful objects for you to disguise your trap! Keep in mind: leprechauns are especially attracted to rainbows, the color green, and shiny pots of gold.
- Creators are encouraged to use found items (items found around the house) with an adult's permission.
- To be entered into the contest, all traps must be returned to the Clubhouse Library by closing on Thursday, March 16.
- There will be a first-place prize awarded to the trap that receives the highest number of staff votes (or catches a leprechaun)!
- Winner will be selected and notified on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17.
- This craft is recommended for older children or for younger children with their families.
- Quantities are limited; you must be registered to receive a kit.
Thank you to Friends of the Jamestown Library for sponsoring this craft!
