Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association will hold its Annual Meeting, election of new officers, a guest speaker and light refreshments.
Guest speaker - Mr. David Robinson, M.A., RPA, of the University of Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Dept. David is a Marine Archaeologist in the URI Graduate School. Mr. Robinson will offer a fascinating historical presentation of the ship "graveyard" explored & excavated in the northernmost reaches of Narragansett Bay, officially designated as the Green Jacket Shoal Ship Graveyard. Stunning photos of representative cargo ships and ferries will be presented. A detailed site plan will be shown pinpointing the "graves" of a number of these ships, their relation to one another and additional photos of their skeletal remains.
