The JHS Annual Meeting with speaker/filmmaker Nick Francis who will show his 17 min. documentary, "The Last Azorean Whalemen." Expect 75 or so attendees. Will serve cookies and coffee/tea.
There was a water leak in the Youth Services area on Monday, January 26th. This wing will be closed until further notice. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to our Youth population. The Sydney Wright Room is being used for storage during this time, so it will be unavailable. The rest of the library is open for normal business. We thank you for your understanding.

Authors' Corner: A Mini-Hyde Park
October 4 | 2:00 p.m. | Library Meeting Hall
Join us for a small-scale literary festival fashioned after the Authors' Corner in Hyde Park, London where anyone is free to speak on any lawful topic. Biography, Cartoon Creation, Short Stories, & Poetry. Authors give brief talks and then go to separate tables where participants can have group chats.

Lecture and answers to audience questions by Prof. Nikolas K. Gvosdev of the U.S. Naval War College and author of "Decision-Making in American Foreign Policy: Translating Theory into Practice" and co-author "The Oxford Handbook of U.S. National Security" et al.
Prof. Gvosdev will speak on the implications for world security of the possible outcomes of the Russia-Ukraine war. Precise title to be determined soon.
