For November's Book Club, we will be reading Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things by Lenore Look and illustrated by LeUyen Pham.
"A young boy in Concord, Massachusetts, who loves superheroes and comes from a long line of brave Chinese farmer-warriors, wants to make friends, but first he must overcome his fear of everything."
For those new to Book Club, at each session, the kids vote on a book to read together for the next month. Miss Lisa then orders enough copies of that book through the Ocean State Libraries consortium. You then pick up the book at the library (usually a week after the last book club) and check it out on your library card. Books are never due before Book Club.
Please be sure to register for Book Club so Miss Lisa knows how many snacks to provide. You may register in person at the library or email Miss Lisa at jamlibkids@gmail.com.
